The premise in one paragraph

Battleplan is a real-time strategy game about Western Front battles from 1944. A mission covers roughly a week to a month and is simulated second by second, with the store text putting hundreds of thousands of troops inside that span. You command divisions by drawing multi-step plans on maps built from real geography. Officers and companies then carry the orders out on their own. Roads, towns, forest, swamp, and elevation are placed from geographic data, and the store text says artillery placement can use that high ground.

The command loop, short form

  1. Draw the plan. Lines and enclosed areas on the map are the orders. The store listing names defense in depth, counterattacks, planned withdrawals, a bombardment before a set-piece attack, and splitting a division toward more than one objective.
  2. Leave execution to the army. A division is modeled as headquarters, regiments, battalions, and companies. Infantry, tanks, engineers, anti-tank guns, artillery, and scouts act without a separate click for every company. Officers sit on that chain, and the listing says keeping them alive is how they pick up experience and quirks.
  3. Move the clock. The same listing lets you pause, run in real time, or fast-forward. A press account of a stricter daily planning rhythm is on the reviews page, and the full clock notes are on How to play.
  4. Treat supply as part of the order. Cutting an enemy supply line, taking depots, and pulling back when your own units run low are in the store's logistics section. Terrain is said to decide how supply flows.

Official promotional image. A parchment map shows a white line being drawn as an order near Aachen, with a Draw Order panel and a little over nine days left on the clock.

That screenshot is store art of one draw-order moment. It is not a script for a mission. The image's clock shows a little over nine days remaining, which sits inside the store's one-week-to-one-month mission span, and it does not set the length of every battle.

What this page leaves to the others

Not in the records used here

No unit-statistic table, no confirmed mission order, and no numeric difficulty scale were in those records. Achievements mention a win above normal difficulty and a win on the highest difficulty, without naming the steps between them. Two store trailers are titled Gameplay Trailer - Battleplan Out Now and Battleplan | Out On October 12th. This guide does not describe their footage.
